Eligibility for SBI Scholar Loan Scheme
Sanction of the Loan is for students only or we can simply say Indian Nationals who want to pursue higher education in India in any of the Selected 114 Premier Institutions. List A and List B given below are the names of 114 institutions from where the students can avail the scholar’s loan.

Courses Covered

Expenses Covered under SBI Scholar Loan
- Payment of College/School/Hostel fees .
- Examination/ Library/ Laboratory fees are also covered.
- Purchase of Books/Equipment/Instruments etc.
- Caution deposit / building fund/ refundable deposit required by Institution bills/ receipts.
- Travel expenses/expenses on exchange program.
- Purchase of personal computer/laptop.
You must keep in mind that expenditure does not exceed 25% of the SBI Scholar Loan amount. Expenditure beyond 25% cap is permissible subjected to production of voucher/ receipt for the same.
Documents Required for SBI Scholar Loan
- Letter of admission along with completely filled in Loan Application Form.
- 2 recent passport size photographs.
- Statement of cost that might incur during study.
- P.A.N. Card of the student and Parent/Guardian.
- AADHAAR Card of the student and Parent/Guardian.
- ID Proof (Driving Licence or Passport or Aadhaar or any photo identity).
- Proof of residence.
- Bank account statement for last 6 months.
- IT return/ IT assessment order, of last 2 years of Parent or Guardian.
- Income Proof (i.e. salary slips/Form 16) of Parent or Guardian.
