Toll-free banking is a service that is offered by the Kotak Mahindra bank to help you in checking the account balance or getting a mini statement by simply giving a missed call to a toll-free number. Currently, Kotak Mahindra Bank is offering this service is free of cost.
Following is the method to make a balance inquiry through Kotak Bank toll-free number:
From your registered mobile number, give a missed call on 1800 274 0110. Then, you will get an SMS with your account balance.
Note: If you didn’t register your mobile number with the Kotak Mahindra bank account then you should have to follow any of the following methods:
1. You have to visit the official website of Kotak Mahindra bank and update the mobile number there.
2. You can also visit the nearest Kotak Mahindra branch and request for updating the mobile number by submitting a form.
Will this service work if my number is not registered with the Bank?
If you have registered your mobile number with the bank and having at least one valid current or savings account linked to your CRN then you can avail of this service. For this same CRN, the mobile number should be registered.
Will this service work if I have multiple accounts with the Bank?
For a particular CRN, this service is available for a maximum of 10 accounts linked. In such cases, all the messages will be clubbed in 2-4 SMS. You can also avail this service even when your mobile is linked to multiple CRNs.
Why am I getting an error message when I try to use the service?
Under the following options you will get an error message:
1. When you are calling from any other mobile number, then the mobile number that is registered with the bank.
2. When you don’t have any valid current or savings linked account with your CRN. If more than 10 accounts are linked to your CRN. then, by using Net banking, mobile banking, SMS banking, or by calling the customer contact center on 1860 266 2666.
